Safety & Pre-Flight Demonstration
Whilst preparing for departure, the Flight Attendants will perform a safety demonstration pointing out important safety features of the aircraft. Even if you are an frequent flyer, you should pay attention to this demonstration as safety features and procedures vary between aircraft.

Safety Features Card
In the seat pocket in front of you, you will find a safety features card which provides all the safety information required while on board the aircraft.

Smoking
Smoking is forbidden on all flights. The lavatories onboard are each fitted with very sensitive smoke detectors. Detection of cigarette smoke in lavatory compartments will sound alarms in the cabin. It is a criminal offence to smoke while onboard. Penalties for anyone found to be smoking onboard an aircraft may include imprisonment and fines. Smoking is only allowed in airports in clearly designated areas.

Seat Belt
Each passenger’s seat belt must be fastened for take-off, landing, during turbulence and at any time when the seatbelt sign is illuminated. It is recommended that you keep your seatbelt loosely fastened at all times while seated. On long haul flights, should you wish to sleep during the flight with the use of a blanket, it is suggested that you fasten your seat belt over the top of the blanket so that it is visible at all times, this avoids any crew having to awaken you.

Seat Belt Extensions
Should you require an extension for your seat belt, please ask one of the crew. Seat belt extensions are available on most aircraft. Kindly return the extension belt to one of the cabin crew when you reach your destination.

Window Blinds
Window blinds must be fully open for take-off and landing. This assists the cabin crew to gauge outside conditions should it be necessary.

Pets
Most airlines offer climate-controlled cargo travel areas for pets; however advance arrangements must be made before the flight date.

The Flight Deck
Due to security and flight safety, visits to the flight deck are strictly forbidden on most airlines.

Pillows / Blankets / Amenity Kits
On long haul pillows, blankets and amenity kits are available. Pillows and blankets will once again be collected by the cabin crew before landing. On short haul flights, a limited number of pillows and blankets are carried, but you will have to request these from attendants.

Special Meals
Requests for special meals should be made a minimum of 48 hours in advance of travel. Should you change your travel itinerary 48 hours this will affect the availability of your request.

Alcohol
You must be 18 years of age or older to consume alcohol on all airline flights. Flight Attendants can refuse the service of alcohol should the crewmember feel this appropriate.
